Click 48 year old male with isolated trauma to the gallbladder. Contrast enhanced (125 ml Optiray-350) axial CT (slice thickness=3.75 mm) of the abdomen demonstrates an enlarged hydropic gallbladder with hyperdense fluid within the gallbladder lumen as well as active extravasation of contrast material into the lumen. The gallbladder exerts mass effect on the liver and duodenum. Blood products also fill an enlarged cystic duct. Simple appearing free fluid surrounds the gallbladder.
