CECT is definitely the Investigation of choice

We also had run a similar programme in investigating the best modality for the diagnosis of Acute appendicitis at our teaching hospital and we had concluded " except in cases of absolute contraindications of CT , CECT is the most effective method to diagnose/ rule out acute appendicitis"
